Did you know that food banks in our communities are seeing record numbers of people? I know we all try and take part in holiday food drives when we can, but what about the times in between?
For this #wonderfulwinter activity, I challenge you to give your mood a boost by helping your local food bank. You can drop off some food (there’s always a collection bin at the front of my grocery store) or donate some money so that the administration can use their purchasing power to secure what they need the most.

CONTEST ALERT: Take a photo of you making a donation to your local food bank and tag them if they have a social media account to raise awareness. Add the #wonderfulwinter hashtag and tag @dwntwncbrown in your Facebook or Instagram post. If you don’t use social media, you can still participate by emailing me a photograph or proof of monetary donation. All participants will be entered into a draw – I will make a donation of $100.00 to the winner’s local foodbank. The contest will remain open until March 15th, 2023
Here are some local, Ontario food banks who could use your help. There are many community groups that provide food support to people who need it, this list is not exhaustive by any means. You can donate to any food bank in your community.
